ValidateMe^© the new customer app for collecting ID documents

Finally a truly safe remote way of collecting and verifying identities. 

ValidateMe^© is a fully compliant and robust identity verification tool.

As part of the overall KYC checks, this app locates and unlocks the NFC chip in biometric passports from 193 countries across the globe, meaning, by using ValidateMe you can now verify your clients identity anywhere in the world. 

This tool seamlessly links to the SanctionsSearch.com platform enabling users to carry out a myriad of additional KYC checks without having to enter their clients data. 

Once they have completed the request sent by you, the documents will appear in your account under the client management area, which will then allow you to perform the relevant checks as normal with your customers information pre-populated and unlock the clients Passport chip.

To start your clients ValidateMe journey, follow the instructions below;

Click the ValidateMe© link on your dashboard

Complete the clients details in the form by selecting documents you wish to request and click Create Client

Once the above steps have been taken your client will receive an email along with a text, requesting them to download the app and start the process below.

So what does it do and why do you need it?

Our new app changes the way that users and firms interact with paper documents such as passports and driving licences. Instead of having to take and copy documents from client’s using paper, you can use our app to capture these documents securely furthermore these images can then be used to carry out the necessary checks such as a full ValidID^© check, with the option to unlock the clients passport chip. 

I am office based why do I need this app?

Whether you are office or home based, we have introduced ValidateMe^© to accommodate the impact of the global pandemic over the last two years. It has made us realise that we need a client-side app which makes our users lives that little bit easier when it comes to verifying clients and their documents. ValidateMe^© will allow you to securely request documents directly from your clients at any time, whether you are in the office or at home.

The pandemic has resulted in a considerable increase in financial fraud attributed in no small part to the increasingly limited contact we are all having with our customers. Fraudsters are using this change in behaviours to abuse the system. ValidateMe^© aims to bring that security back to firms by allowing them a step into the clients world albeit virtually to verify them and their documents are indeed real.

The technology doesn't stop there, it also reads the Passport and or Driving Licence; it then populates the necessary ID checks for you. This reduces the need to key in loads of information, thus saving time and ensuring you reduce the risk of error with data entry.

All you must do is enter the client's name, post code, email and mobile phone number, then the client can download the app and securely upload the documents you have requested at any time.

After they have completed their ValidateMe^© all their data appears in your account waiting for you to validate the information. The system will even tell you where the client carried out their ValidateMe^© as can be seen in the screenshot (right)

Is it secure and safe?

This is a very good question and one that has been at the forefront of our minds since the day we started our development process.

The best way to explain our approach to data security is to begin at the start of the documents journey.

1. The user enters the clients details i.e. Name, Email Address, Mobile Phone number and Postcode. This will then send a text message and email prompt directly to the client.
2. The client will then download the ValidateMe app and enter their email address or mobile phone number along with the secure code that has been sent to them via email/text message.
3. Once the user has successfully signed in, they will be asked to upload the documents requested and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. If they are happy with their uploads and liveness check the information will be securely captured and encrypted using an encryption key unique to the client/session.
5. As soon as the client has finished the session of capturing all the documents they need to, they will be told to close the app and the session will expire along with the documents previously captured, meaning no documents are left on the phone encrypted or otherwise.
6. Once the files are received by our system they are decrypted and re-encrypted using your user specific account encryption key.
7. Each account on our system has its own encryption key this ensures a far greater level of security for your client’s important documents and data.
8. You the user will then be able to sign into your SanctionsSearch.com account and access the documents securely via the client management area.

Security is one of the most important objectives that we deal with, and it is undoubtedly our biggest priority. Protecting you and your client data is our number one concern.

The most important question, how much will it cost?

Well believe it or not it is completely FREE to download and use. Yes, you heard that right, it will cost nothing to use this app.

The only time you will part with money, is if you decide to carry out a sanctions search or ValidiD^© or Passport chip verification on the client once you have their documents, at which point it will only cost you what you would have paid to carry out that type of check in our system.

How do I carry out a ValidateMe^©?

ValidateMe^© will be active in your account already, you just need to click the link in the middle box on your dashboard, titled ValidateMe^©.

You then have to complete the information required for your customer, as can be seen in the screenshot below.

Once this has been completed and you click Create Client, the client will recieve an email along with a text message PIN to start the process.

When they have completed their side you will see the client appear on your dashboard under an orange box titled "New ValidateMe^© clients are pending verification", follow the instructions to verify the data coming in and proceed with a ValidiD^©, PEP or SanctionsSearch where required.
